Payroll and Pensions

The end-to-end payroll and pension service for North Central London ICB is delivered by the NEL Payroll and Pensions team. The team is a fully qualified and established service provider of full payroll and pension services to ICBs across Kent, South West London and South East London. This arrangement supports the streamlining of payroll processes, increases efficiency and ensures ICB staff have one point of contact for all payroll and pension queries.

Workforce System

All pensions and payroll queries should be sent to nelcsu.northccgpayroll@nhs.net. 

Staff should use the Workforce system to manage annual leave and sickness, view payslips, complete statutory and mandatory training and make expenses claims. Log into Workforce here.​

Submission of payroll and pensions forms

All payroll and pensions forms should continue to be sent to nelcsu.ccgforms.north1@nhs.net

Cut-off dates

Payroll cut-off dates to submit your payroll forms will continue to be the second working day of each month (or the working day prior where the second working day falls on a weekend or bank holiday).

Your payday is not changing

Your payday remains the same which is 25th of each month (or the working day prior where 25th falls on a weekend or bank holiday).​

Pay Progression

The ICB has developed a Pay Progression Policy, which was implemented on 1 April 2022. This policy applies to all NCL ICB employees on Agenda for Change terms and conditions of employment and has been ratified by staff side. You can find out more on our Pay Progression page.

NHS pension changes

Following a public consultation which began on 15 October 2021 and ended on 7 January 2022 there are a number of changes happening to the contribution tiers of the NHS Pension scheme with the first phase starting on 1 October 2022. You can find out more on the NHS Pension Changes page.

Pension clinics

HR will be offering virtual pension clinics again for ICB staff to ask any questions or queries you may have in relation to your NHS Pension, this is available via MS teams for individual 30-minute appointments and will be with Pensions Manager, Sara Weller.
