All managers recruiting staff through an agency are required to recruit from an agency that appears on an approved framework. These agencies have been approved by NHS England to meet the required checks and price caps to ensure we are recruiting safely but also getting value for money. You can view the approved frameworks and agency rate caps on the NHS England website.
Most ICB posts will use agencies from the Crown Commercial Services Framework and these agencies can be found here:

- RM6161: Provision of Clinical and Healthcare Staffing – CCS (crowncommercial.gov.uk)
Use the Check Employment Status for Tax (CEST) tool to find out if you, or a worker on a specific engagement, should be classed as employed or self-employed for tax purposes.
Recruiting managers must ensure they have ECP approval before recruiting an interim from one of these agencies.
